Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand a concrete home-lighting choice without turning the subject into a product roundup. Send proposals through the Contact page and include enough detail for us to judge the idea.
What to pitch
We are interested in clear explainers, useful comparisons, background pieces and room-planning approaches. A strong pitch names one specific question, explains what the reader will be able to understand or decide afterward, and shows why the subject suits our coverage.
Keep it grounded
Use plain language, distinguish general principles from personal preference, and identify claims that would need reliable sourcing. We do not seek unsupported product claims, disguised advertising or instructions for work that requires specialist expertise. Do not send confidential information or assume that a pitch will be published.
How to send a proposal
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and any relevant experience or material you would draw on. A proposal is not a commissioned piece, and we will discuss terms and scope before any work is agreed.
Light should suit the work of a room.
A useful lighting plan starts with what happens in a space, not with a matching set. We look at the choices that make light easier to live with.
